
All classes require payment in full at time of booking unless otherwise stated.
Refunds will not be offered under any circumstances. Whimsical Cakehouse may, at its sole discretion, transfer a student to an alternative class upon production of a medical certificate covering the period for which the class was booked.
If there is a designated teacher for a particular class at the time of booking, Whimsical Cakehouse will endeavour to provide the nominated teacher for the delivery of the class on the scheduled date. We reserve the right to provide an alternative teacher if circumstances dictate it to be necessary.
Whimsical Cakehouse reserves the right to cancel or change the structure and content of a class. If we have to cancel a class we will give as much notice as possible and offer a full refund of the cost of the class only. If the date of the class is changed you will be given the option of a place in the rescheduled class or a full refund.
Whimsical Cakehouse reserves the right to change the location of a class, should the need arise. Students will be notified in writing of any move.
You are welcome to send someone else in your place provided that Whimsical Cakehouse is notified in writing of the full name and contact details of the substitute attendee at least 7 days prior to the course commencement date.
All designs that are taught as part of Whimsical Cakehouse’s training programme remain the intellectual property of Whimsical Cakehouse and may not be reproduced in full or in part for commercial teaching purposes. Students are encouraged to use the techniques that are taught to create their own designs.
All course notes that are issued as part of a class are not to be reproduced or distributed under any circumstances.
You are welcome to bring a camera and take photographs during the day. We regret, however, that video and audio recording are strictly prohibited.
Clients wishing to travel with their products are responsible for their safe transportation. Whimsical Cakehouse does not accept responsibility for any damage that may occur to the students creations. We strongly recommend that anyone wishing to fly with their product makes the appropriate enquiries with their airline to determine the viability of its transportation by air.
If a student feels that a Class did not meet their expectations, a detailed complaint must be submitted in writing to the Whimsical Cakehouse Class Director within 28 days of the Class having been attended.
We will review the complaint and respond in writing within 14 days.
Cakes produced in the classroom environment are designed to be used for training purposes only and are therefore not suitable for resale or re-homing.
To confirm your booking we require a 50% deposit. Confirmation of your order secures your position in our books (we are at times fully booked and lack of deposit can lead to your place being given to another client). Work will only commence on your order once deposit has been made based on the agreed quote and all designs approved by the client. By paying your deposit, you agree to adhere to the following Terms and Conditions.
Products and delivery must be paid for in full and funds cleared at least 14 days prior to delivery or pick up.
All notice of cancellation must be received in writing.
The following cancellation fees apply at the discretion of Whimsical Cakehouse:
Cancellations 30 or more days prior to delivery/pick up date will incur a $100 administration fee.
Cancellation of order between 14 and 30 days will incur a loss of deposit.
If your cancellation is less than 14 days of your booking full payment will still be required.
Cakes and cupcakes are made and packaged in a safe way so that they are stable when travelling. Clients wishing to pick up their products are responsible for the safe delivery of their product and Whimsical Cakehouse does not accept responsibility for any accidents that occur once the cake has been collected. Whimsical Cakehouse will supply clients with information on the safest way to travel with their product.
Whimsical Cakehouse uses a courier service or a dedicated driver for all on-line deliveries within NSW.
Whimsical Cakehouse will not be held responsible for delivery delays by our couriers or drivers outside of our control, including industrial action or a disruption to the service however, we will keep you informed of any delays that we are informed of.
Whimsical Cakehouse aims to produce products of the highest standard that fulfil the desires of our clients as we understand them. It is important to remember that we are dealing with food and art and no two products are truly ever the same. There are times when our artists will need to make decisions during the process of manufacture that may affect the style of decoration, proportion or structure of the product.
Colour can be subjective and it is vital that clients wishing for exact colour matches provide colour samples and discuss the desired colour when ordering their product. With regards to ribbon Whimsical Cakehouse will do their best to match samples provided but are limited by the options available.
Whimsical Cakehouse will make every effort to care for and return reference materials provided by the client in order to facilitate decoration and design. However, Whimsical Cakehouse will not accept financial liability for the materials in cases of loss or damage (unless covered by our existing insurance policy).
Appointments: As part of our complimentary service we offer a one hour design appointment so that we can completely attend to your requirements. In your appointment our designer will sketch your design and thoroughly discuss design options. Additional appointments over and above this initial appointment will be charged at $50 per half-hour appointment.
Design Changes: After an order has been confirmed clients wishing to make major changes that require design time will be charged a $50 fee. Minor changes may be made without further charge at the discretion of Whimsical Cakehouse.
“Whimsical Cakehouse” refers to ‘Whimsical Cakehouse Pty Ltd’ (ABN: 83 152 993 381), whose registered office is at ‘743 Port Hacking Road, Dolans Bay, NSW 2229).
Gift vouchers are valid for one year from purchase.
Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable.
